I have live data feeding into an excel sheet, various cols of data etc. I need the data extracting at timed points, ie 30 mins , 10 mins, 5 mins 2 mins etc for chosen cols. The recording of the data needs to stop at a given stop time, the start time of the event. The saved data can be copied/ transferred to a new excel sheet or database ie ACCESS, which i currently use. An excel sheet would be easier to use, but would require the data to be copied to new rows in each sheet, after the last recorded dump. The rows of data to be copied in each new row to the copied master sheet will never exceed 50 for each new data dump, ie the max number of runners per race, so that should make that easy to program. That recorded data then needs to be referenced within another excel sheet for calculation, but that is straightforward using vlookup etc in excel.
I believe it to be straightforward, but it needs coding. 15 races would be the maximum no of races that are to be concurrently recorded for data grabbing within each hour. I understand that it can be done in Python / php, with database if required but there may be better ways for capturing the data at timed points. Let me know what you think.
I attach a sample sheet of the current live data, with cols to be extracted for reference, highlighted in yellow, at timed points, cols AF:AI, before the start of each race, let me know and thanks v much in advance,
