Design a headpiece for a marble tombstone and provide a high quality design that can be carved into the marble.
Earlier this year my mother passed away and she was buried in a wall tomb at our family plot in Sicily, Italy. We need to submit the design for the rectangular marble headpiece. Please see image 1 for reference.
The marble headpieces all have an oval in the centre, that contains a picture of the loved one. Their name and date of birth/death is then underneath.
My mother specifically requested that she wanted angels on her headstone. Therefore, I am looking for a graphic designer who can find a way to incorporate two angels either side of this oval shape to fulfil her wishes. The two angels should be subtle and simple, and be either side of the oval looking outwards (i.e. away from the oval shape). They should be no larger than the oval itself. One angel should be holding a lily of the valley flower, whilst the other is holding a writing quill.
My mother was a playwrite and theatre director, as well as a lover of mountaineering and the outdoors. Whilst I would like the design to be simple, some embellishments may be needed to balance the design, so please feel free to incorporate any embellishments, that might also reflect the things she loved, in order to add balance to the overall piece. An example of the embellishments I am referencing can be seen in image 2 (although any embellishments should not be as significant or extensive as the ones included in image 2).
The design should be only black line and white background, as it needs to be provided to an engraver to engrave onto the marble.
