1.0 Description: We are looking for an experienced Odoo 10 Community developer with a solid background in accounting and reporting to help restructure our ledger and implement new, accurate financial reports with a user-friendly interface.
2.0 Scope of Work:
2.1 Rename Ledger Groupings (Chart of Accounts): You will be provided with an Excel sheet mapping the old ledger group names to the new ones. Apply these changes safely within the system, ensuring the integrity of existing transactions and reporting is preserved.
2.2 Develop Three Custom Financial Reports with Simple UI: - Trial Balance - Income Statement - Balance Sheet - A clean, accessible interface must be developed to allow users to easily request each report using date range, fiscal year, and other basic filters.
Report formats and layout requirements will be shared via Excel. These reports depend on the updated ledger grouping, so that must be finalized and approved before proceeding.
3.0 Collaboration: Frequent coordination meetings will be required with our senior accountant to ensure that: - Full understanding of our requirements. - The source of financial data is correctly identified. - The formulas and structure used in the reports align with accounting requirements.
4.0 Skills Required: - Experience with Odoo 10 Community - Good understanding of accounting principles and Odoo reporting structure - Python, PostgreSQL - Odoo QWeb/XML for custom report templates - UI development for internal tools - Comfort working on Odoo in a Linux (Ubuntu) VPS environment (e.g., DigitalOcean)
Familiarity with UAE accounting standards, VAT rules, and Corporate Tax requirements is a plus, as this exercise is part of aligning our Odoo system with FTAA audit readiness, especially for corporate tax compliance.
5.0 Deliverables: - Updated ledger groupings - Three functional reports with: - user-friendly UI - Basic documentation or handover notes
Deployment through staging to production
