Expected duration: Ongoing WordPress + PHP Developer (Experienced WCAG 2.1) 3 days per week, moving to full time for the right person (suggest you are based in India to match our dev teams timezone remote).
NOTE: This project/position has been advertise on pph, however it was awarded to someone that was an agency, we do not work with any agency due to past experience, this is for freelancers only, the person awarded the job should be the person doing the work and in no way part of an agency.
It would be prefered that you do not use AI to write your proposal, I have found a lot of proposals that seem to be AI written and just mention everything in the job description so it matches skills needed, this waste a lot of my time.

Green Arrow is a small agency, because of this we can only recruit developers that are happy to dig in and work well together, also should be able to work well with Wordpress website both frontend and backend. Many of our websites have custom work on them, you need to be confident at solving issues across many websites.
Key Responsibilities
• Rapidly develop, update, and maintain WordPress websites for major brands, ensuring fast turnaround and flawless quality. • Build high-performance, secure WordPress sites. • WordPress management at WCAG standards • All your work must comply with ADA/ WCAG 2.1+ • Troubleshoot technical issues urgently, delivering reliable, error-free resolutions. • Collaborate closely with company management, project managers, lead developers and junior developer, to ensure project objectives are met on time. • Optimize websites for speed, SEO, accessibility, and seamless user experience across all devices and browsers. • Adhere to best practices for site security, backups, and version control. • Document your work and maintain a systematic approach to site updates and feature rollouts. What We’re Looking For • Proven WordPress development experience. • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. • Deep understanding of WordPress architecture, theme and plugin customization. • Strong problem-solving abilities and a meticulous eye for detail—no bug too small! • Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities with tight deadlines. • Excellent communication (English) and teamwork skills. • Positive, can-do attitude and genuine passion for website development under demanding standards.
Our client’s website management is mission-critical: it involves rapid response, zero tolerance for errors, and extensive coordination. It’s not just about maintaining the site but actively supporting marketing, legal, and business goals with tech expertise.
It is also expected that you show evidence of PHP and WordPress work that you have done.
