Description: We’re looking for a frontend developer to help build a modern, accessible web template for small municipalities in Switzerland. This is a personal side project with the goal of creating a scalable, long-term digital solution for local public services.
The initial phase includes developing a modular, responsive, and WCAG-compliant HTML/CSS frontend, which will serve as an MVP. The first version will be implemented using Kirby CMS, with the possibility of evolving into a custom Node.js platform later.
Your tasks will include:
Studying reference websites and official accessibility guidelines (PDF provided)
Designing and coding a flexible, elegant template with a mobile-first approach
Ensuring clean separation of HTML, CSS, and minimal JS
Weekly check-ins to align on design, accessibility, and progress
Requirements:
Solid skills in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design
Awareness of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 / BITV / eCH-0059)
Familiarity with GitHub (private repo required)
Ability to deliver clean, well-documented code
Nice to have:
Experience with Kirby CMS or similar flat-file systems
Comfort working in asynchronous, feedback-driven workflows
This is a fixed-price project with potential for a small ongoing support fee. Please note: project is pre-commercial. Strong performance may lead to future paid collaboration |
