We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to support the design and specification of small power circuits for a 10,000 sqm warehouse project. A design has already been carried out to stage 3 and we have locations for all the sockets but now need to label up each item and provide the calculations for cable types, sizes etc.
Scope of Work:
- Full design of small power circuits throughout the warehouse facility. - Cable sizing, routing, and detailed cable calculations compliant with BS 7671 (18th Edition). - Preparation of circuit schedules, cable containment drawings, and layout plans. - Consideration of voltage drop, grouping, installation methods, and coordination with the main electrical distribution system. - Output to include full design pack ready for client approval and installation.
Requirements:
-Proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical design. - Competent in cable sizing calculations, protective device coordination, and voltage drop assessments. - Familiar with design tools such as Amtech (Trimble ProDesign), AutoCAD, or equivalent. - Knowledge of warehouse operational needs (e.g., racking layouts, loading bay services) an advantage. - Ability to deliver a complete, compliant design within an agreed timeline.
