The goal is to make the website more user-friendly, visually appealing, faster, optimized for search engines, and capable of supporting multiple languages. A wireframe has been created as a reference for the new website design. It includes: • A large hero section with a call-to-action (e.g., "Donate Now"). • A multilingual language selector for Dutch, English, Spanish, and Papiamentu. • Segments for the organization's mission, ongoing projects, and testimonials. • A clean navigation bar with links to essential pages. • A footer with social media links and a newsletter subscription box. The developer is expected to implement this wireframe while ensuring all technical and functional requirements are met. ________________________________________ Responsibilities: 1. Visual and Multilingual Enhancements • Implement Wireframes: o Translate the provided wireframe into a fully functional and visually appealing design. o Maintain consistency in colors, typography, and layout. o Add optimized, high-quality images to enhance user engagement. • Responsive Design: o Ensure the website functions seamlessly across devices and screen sizes. • Multilingual Support: o Set Dutch as the default language. o Add a language selection menu for Dutch, English, Spanish, and Papiamentu. o Ensure the CMS or translation plugin supports seamless content updates in multiple languages. 2. Speed Optimization • Optimize Images: o Compress images and implement lazy loading to improve load times. • Minify CSS and JavaScript: o Remove unnecessary code and compress files for faster performance. • Set Up Caching: o Configure browser caching for static assets. • Hosting and Performance: o Review current hosting and set up a CDN like Cloudflare to boost performance. 3. SEO Optimization • Add Meta Information: o Create optimized titles, meta descriptions, and alt texts for all content. • Improve URL Structure: o Ensure all URLs are short, descriptive, and SEO-friendly. • Internal Linking: o Establish strategic links between related pages for improved navigation and SEO. • XML Sitemap: o Generate and submit an XML sitemap to Google Search Console. 4. Technical Enhancements • Enhance Security: o Install or verify an SSL certificate. o Update plugins and eliminate potential security vulnerabilities. • Improve Accessibility: o Implement WCAG guidelines, such as ensuring sufficient contrast and keyboard navigation. 5. Content Integration • Revise and Optimize Existing Content: o Collaborate with a copywriter to ensure SEO-friendly and engaging text. • Add Blog or News Section: o Set up a dynamic section for regular updates and articles. 6.
