I require the development of an online database solution to streamline internal reporting and management information processes. Currently, data is stored in Excel workbooks but there is a need for a more robust platform that facilitates automated updating and data analysis.
The initial phase will involve migrating existing spreadsheet data to the new database. Going forward, an API will need to be developed to integrate the database with our back-end systems such that data can be seamlessly uploaded on a regular basis. The database structure should be flexibly designed to accommodate future expansions or changes to the types of information captured.
Potential bidders should detail their proposed technical approach including recommended database platform, hosting solutions, and ongoing support plans. Preference will be given to open-source or cloud-based options requiring minimal in-house infrastructure. Experience developing APIs and designing scalable databases to organizational standards is essential. Qualified applicants will have a solid track record of delivering database solutions on time and within budget.
The overarching goal is to obtain a robust yet cost-effective database that streamlines our reporting workflows while laying the foundation for additional data-driven insights and processes in the future.
