Part 1: API Integration and Data Setup i. Back-end: Integrate US-specific datasets (e.g., Census Bureau, Walmart Marketplace) via API connections. Ensure smooth handling of API rate limits, data validation, and adherence to terms of service. ii. Database: Adapt schema to accommodate new US datasets, including regional data segmentation for state-level insights. Optimise for scalability with larger datasets. iii. Front-end: Design and implement interface updates to display API-sourced data clearly, including new visualisations for regional/state-level insights.
Part 2: Localisation Features for existing platform i. Front-end: Update user interfaces for US-specific spellings, terminology, and formatting (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY for dates, USD currency). Ensure proper integration of localised datasets and dynamic front-end elements. ii. Back-end: Adjust logic to process localised data and dynamically populate US-specific insights (e.g., Black Friday trends, state-level comparisons). iii. Database: Optimise queries for faster retrieval of localised data and ensure seamless integration with existing UK data.
