I have an existing and very basic traffic information Android app that shows, for the moment, videos and text.
Traffic information is used for this Android app as well as for a website.
For the website, I have already filtered the traffic information by road/highway impacted by an event (roadworks, traffic jam, ...). For the moment, each highway has a specific text file in which traffic information is written.
I would like to offer my users more traffic information for each highway (6).
In the current android mobile app, there are already menus for each highway.
For each highway, a video stream of webcams for each highway is displayed. The video player is embedded in a webview.
For this new version of the app, I would like:
- to add a "feed" of latest traffic information for each highway page, below the video stream
- Get rid of the webview and do a better integration of the video player in the app
Each traffic information is a dedicated node in a Drupal website. Each traffic information is already linked to an highway. Details about each traffic information node can be retrieved from a RSS feed to ease the integration with the app.
The deliverable is an Android project native app which is prepared to release (up to "Configuring Your application for release" step of Android app development procedure described at (link removed), Cryptographic keys, End-user license agreement and Miscellaneous materials steps excluded.
The app must remain compatible with all Android versions from 4.4
