Expected duration: 1 - 6 months The scope of the project is to develop a Ruby language based distributed platform to support online sales of fresh produce from multiple independent local farms. The platform will integrate seamlessly with a variety of Amazon services (AWS) for appropriate activities.
Looking for an experienced Ruby developers who have at least 3 years experience building SaaS products in Ruby. You should be comfortable with engineering in the entire stack including writing HTML, CSS, Javascript, and a good understanding of HTTP.
You should be familiar with distributed application development, and AWS integration. The work will predominantly be focussed on building clean Ruby modules and light-weight integrated platform to solve the needs of the internal applications. The work will involve minimal external gem dependencies.
You should like writing, reading and working with SQL, and have experience building apps that scale. This means citing relevant prior experience to avoid dangerous coding inclinations. When things get slow in production, you know a few common places to look to understand where a bottleneck may be occurring. Some components of the scope of work involves e-commerce, micro-services based architecture design, inventory management, customer support messaging infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is someone who has the experience and knowledge developing full-stack Ruby web framework. This is a greenfield project, and can be a viable fully remote long term work opportunity for the right individual.
