Expected duration: 3 - 4 weeks We are looking to create a custom website to upgrade our current website from simply being a marketing tool to a full-fledged customer training and engagement tool.
We are hoping for the website to have standard website front end - similar to the current but with better design (see accusentry.com) - but then provide a customer training portal, knowledge base and other customer information behind a login.
There should be a normal site for non-logged in users, the ability for users to create accounts, and tiers for users / managers and admins. A user at first log in will be able to see basic information, with more access given by either a manager or an admin as needed. There should also be the ability to monitor and block sign-ups from email addresses that don't belong to our clients to prevent spam.
A user will be able to browse through general site information about our company without logging in. There will be a signup / login button to sign up or for returning users. New users should be able to be reviewed, approved and assigned roles by admins or managers, and potentially contacted in the case of new customers.
Upon first login a user should see a basic landing page starting with basic information, such as who we are and what we do, followed by links for training and learning more. For customers with subscriptions, they can be added to companies in order to manage subscriptions and pull license codes for their systems. Content should be able to be tailored to customers so that they aren’t given information if they don’t need it.
Logged in customers will have access to training material, knowledge articles and more.
Main site for non-logged in users - Similar content with current site, but refreshed layout - Admins able to edit and manage content
Training site for logged in users - Ability to create and edit lessons with embedded videos and PowerPoints (videos hosted remotely) - Ability to upload images as needed - See Image below for a mockup of what a lesson might look like - Track user progress - Multi-language functionality, - Portal for a translator to be able to translate content (special user role for external translators)
Knowledge base for logged in users - Create articles in a knowledge base, including embedding videos, adding images, text and etc. - Admin dashboard to see user / article engagement - Multi-language functionality (same as training site)
Billing Portal for logged in users to manage subscriptions - A place for managers (users with specific permissions) for our clients to be able to purchase, renew and manage subscriptions. - Subscriptions include subscriptions to the learning content (there are be multiple tiers of learning content) and custom code to generate license codes for our software separate from the website.
Admin dashboard - View and assign roles for users - User Data - Users that just finished training - Users who use the portal often - Users that haven’t connected for awhile - Ability to access the data via CRM for tailored marketing campaigns. - Ability to integrate with CRM to allow for automatic lead generation.
Security - High level security for storage of customer information, we anticipate the scope of the website growing as customers continue to engage - Roles assigned to new users to prevent access to confidential information.
This project will require web design, UI/UX and full-stack development skills to proceed smoothly. We already have a lot of ideas how it can all fit together, as well as a working prototype, we just need experienced personnel to help bring our prototype to a full-fledged, eye-popping site.
