I'm looking for someone who can design a high resolution, bespoke minimalistic logo. I will need it in various formats - jpg, pdf, png transparencies (+ editable source file - .ai, .psd). I will need a horizontal version with logo to the left and company name alongside (for use as a letterhead or email signature), as well as a square/circular flavicon version with the logo above and the company name below. I will also need a social media pack for use as profile, banner, background, etc, for Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and Insta.
I already have a custom logo and pack (as above) but it doesn't fully fit my content or the new slogans, so I have decided to start again with another design. The previous budget was £40 (from a previously used Top Cert designer who I like - see attached) so I would like to keep it to a similar amount but this time try again with fresh ideas.
The business is called 'EDACITY'. I create e-learning courses, deliver live webinar sessions, sell downloadable resources and e-books and run practical workshops. Our courses and content are largely related to mental health related therapy and counselling / wellness / happiness / life coaching.
I have attached our previous design so that you can see how the designer successfully combined 'Ed' for Education and 'City' - suggesting 'a place for learning'. What it doesn't incorporate or successfully communicate is that the word 'edacity' means 'hungry, craving food.
What we wanted was to somehow incorporate food / hunger into a design more (as well as learning), since our slogans include phrases like ...'Feed your mind' ...'digestible learning' etc, which don't suit the current logo at all. It is still important that the logo communicates the double meaning of 'EDucation' and (to a lesser extent) 'CITY' (if possible).
I'm keen to avoid the design getting confused for a food-related content/business. It needs to retains an obvious sense of 'Mindfulness and Learning' but I would like it if the new logo can link with our subject matter and slogans better, as the current logo feels too industrial and the typeface and colour doesn't quite feel right for our content. It also doesn't fit slogans like ...'craving knowledge?' or ...'food for thought', which fits the true meaning of the word 'edacity'.
Hopefully the slogans, the definition of the word 'Edacity', and an awareness of the type of content the business offers, will provide inspiration. If you require further information regarding this brief, please let me know. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing your proposal. Thanks.
