I need electronic design, breadboard prototype proof of concept including schematics, PCB layout and Gerber files for production for a sports product.
The device must fit into a housing not larger than 17mm diameter hole, not larger than 37mm long. Due to mechanical constraints, it is envisaged that the PCB May need to be in the form of two or more 16-17mm diameter circular PCB’s bookending the battery cell, possibly a 1/2AA 14250 or a 2/3AAA 10280 or a 1/3n lithium cell of 3-3.7V in the order of 170-1200mAh depending upon batter cell chosen.
The product being rechargeable, battery life is not critical, but should provide approximately 4 to 5 hours of run time between recharging.
The device must have at one end a flashing LED which activates with a tactile switch. This LED must extinguish in darkness using perhaps a photodiode or phototransistor.
At the other end of the product, there must be a red or green laser diode with a collimating lens to project a “dot” at a distance of 10 meters maximum.
The device must be powered by a rechargeable battery, which in turn must be charged via a USB C port at 5V
I would expect this project to be collaborative in nature as it involves such tight housing constraints. Please allow for this. Mechanical CAD data will be shared via Onshape. There is no need to have a license for this software as viewing and commenting is free to subscribe
